Slovenia is relaxing its entry regulations on Saturday. When entering from Austria, the requirements for additional provinces will be dropped: only Tyrol and Vorarlberg will then remain on the “red list”.
For entrants from the provinces that are not on the list, there are no requirements.
Relaxation of entry requirements
Entry from the red classified areas will be possible from Saturday also with a negative antigen rapid test, which is not older than 48 hours, decided the Slovenian government on Wednesday. Previously, entry was only possible with a negative PCR test.
Currently, five provinces are still on the Slovenian list of coronavirus incidence areas, in addition to Tyrol and Vorarlberg, Carinthia, Styria, Upper Austria. As of Saturday, it will also be possible to enter the country from these three provinces without a visa, as is already the case for eastern Austria and Salzburg. There have been no permanent controls on the Slovenian side of the border since the end of April.
Entry to Slovenia
Without testing or quarantine, entry from areas classified as red is also possible for vaccinated and recovered persons. Those vaccinated with AstraZeneca’s vaccine can enter the country after the first dose (after at least 21 days); with other vaccines, one must be fully vaccinated. Children under 15 years of age can also enter without conditions if they are accompanied by persons who meet conditions for free entry.
