May 19 marked the start of privileges currently enjoyed by vaccinated people in Austria. Gastronomy, sports and leisure businesses, as well as the hotel, arts and culture sectors have been subject to the 3-G rule since then. Anyone who is recovered, vaccinated or tested, and can prove this, is allowed in. Thus, a Corona vaccination means one thing: You save yourself from regular testing.

“Those who get vaccinated not only protect themselves and their environment, but also save themselves the testing,” says Lukas Lechner, spokesman for the initiative “Austria vaccinates.”

Thus, vaccinated persons are spared the summer in a permanent testing loop. At the international level, there is still some disagreement about the freedoms that vaccinated people enjoy.

Incidentally, the electronic “green passport” via QR code announced for June 4 has been delayed by a week.

Vaccinated people need to keep two things in mind:
– Their proof of vaccination as a right of entry is not valid until the 22nd day after the first partial vaccination.
– Vaccinated individuals must be able to clearly confirm their initial vaccination.

Freedom of travel for Corona vaccinated persons
The EU Commission has advocated extensive freedom of travel for fully vaccinated persons in Europe. Vaccinated persons should no longer have to be in quarantine and also no longer have to present tests, the Brussels authority explained on Monday, May 31. For recovered people, this should apply for half a year, it said.

Since June 2, entry from Croatia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and Cyprus has been possible with 3-G proof (tested, recovered, vaccinated) without mandatory quarantine.

If you have more questions about the Corona vaccination, you can ask them on the Infoline at 0800 555 621 – daily from 0 to 24 hours.
