Good news this weekend in Austria: the “Green Passport” is here! The first retrievable vaccination certificates have already been created.
“Heute” reported on Saturday that the Ministry of Health is planning the next expansion stage for the “Green Passport” in Austria for next week. In addition to certificates of Corona tests and recovery from infection, it will then be possible to create and retrieve vaccination certificates with EU-compliant QR codes via the site www.gesundheit.gv.at.
According to the Ministry of Health, the changeover is underway and apparently the first vaccination certificates have already been created. Since Saturday afternoon, for example, there have been more and more reports on Twitter of vaccinated users who are already the proud owners of the “Green Passport”.
Under the heading “Vaccination certificates”, the vaccine and a link to download the certificate are listed in addition to the vaccination date.
After downloading the certificate, the exact data (first and last name, date of birth, target disease or pathogen, vaccine, vaccination date and member state) of the vaccinated person can then be seen. The EU-compliant QR code is also located at the top left of the certificate.
Important note: The conversion is still ongoing, so not all certificates have been uploaded yet!
A printout of the entry of the completed Corona vaccination in the electronic vaccination certificate can be made via a login on the page Gesundheit.gv.at under the button “Login ELGA”. A cell phone signature or citizen card is required to access the ELGA portal. The printout of the vaccination certificate in the electronic vaccination certificate can also be created in pdf format and then conveniently saved and carried, e.g., on the cell phone.
The citizen card/mobile phone signature can also be activated from home via FinanzOnline.
