Vienna might not go along with relaxation measures in July

In Vienna, it is not ruled out that the far-reaching relaxations of the Corona measures announced by the federal government in the federal capital may be implemented only in a limited form.

Vienna mulls possible tightening on measures
Vienna will not announce a possible tightening until the ordinance is in place, according to the mayor’s office. However, consultations with experts would run parallel to the drafting of the ordinance. It was recently hinted – for example by Health City Councillor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) – at an admission permit in clubs only for vaccinated persons. Which measures will come and whether they will actually be regionally stricter, however, is still open, it was said.

In any case, only necessary tightening measures will be implemented, the mayor’s spokesman affirmed: “One will consider very carefully which measures are conceivable.” In any case, the states have the option of enacting regional CoV measures.
