From July 1, the fabric masks celebrate a comeback. One is no longer obliged to wear the FFP2 masks.
Starting 22 July the obligation to wear mask would no longer be necessary. Until then, however, it will still be necessary to wear masks in places of daily use, such as supermarkets and pharmacies, public transportation and its stations, and museums. However, the familiar fabric mask will suffice. An FFP2 mask with its significantly better filtering effect is then not even mandatory in hospitals and nursing homes.
Everywhere else, the mask obligation will be completely abolished as of Thursday. In gastronomy, tourism, cultural and leisure facilities as well as sports facilities, the 3-G rule Tested/Cured/Vaccinated applies. Wearing of mask in these areas is no longer necessary.
Nevertheless, information should be obtained: Operators can and will initiate their own, stricter regulations in certain areas.
Clubs are coming back
Nightclubs have now been de facto closed for a year and a half, will open on Thursday. The 1-meter distance in the gastronomy trade falls. As of Thursday, there will also be a 75 percent occupancy limit in the catering trade.
In Vienna, at least, night owls will have to wait. The city government plans to allow only vaccinated and recovered persons to enter such establishments.
Furthermore, as of Thursday, events in all areas will again be allowed to take place without capacity restrictions. Events with 100 or more visitors are subject to notification, while events with 500 or more people require a permit.
