As previously reported, Austria’s neighbor Germany has decided to put Spain back on the red corona list. The reason are the infection numbers in the past days again in the höhe steigenden. A corresponding assessment announced the Robert Koch Institute on Friday. Specifically, this means that the German Foreign Office will advise against travel to Spain.
The Ministry of Health in Austria says that travelers returning from Spain will be subject to stricter controls at airports in the future. Fliers from Spain are moved accordingly strengthened into the focus of the controls, so the spokeswoman of the health ministry.
Apart from that, the department of Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens) urgently recommends that travelers take a PCR test both before and immediately after entering the country – unless they are fully immunized or have a valid certificate of recovery (<6 months).
