The coronavirus continues to prevail in Austria. Over 300 new infections were again registered in the last 24 hours.
The delta variant makes the Corona numbers in Austria continue to rise! In order to be able to limit the spread of the more infectious mutation in the country, the government has now even tightened the Corona measures. This was apparently also necessary, because alone in this week the new infections rose so far clearly.
192 new Corona cases were on Monday, 218 on Tuesday, 332 on Wednesday and 306 on Thursday yesterday. And it continues in this key at the start of the weekend. As “Today” learned on Friday, there have been a total of 341 new infections and one death across Austria. For comparison: last Friday, on July 9, there had been 163 cases – an increase of 110 percent!
