The Ministries of Health and Interior have reported 552 newly registered coronavirus cases within the last 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. today). The states reported these numbers to the national crisis team.
10,737 people have died as a result of coronavirus so far. Currently, 115 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, 39 of whom are in intensive care units.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, there were 552 new Corona infections in Austria. Compared to the previous week (431 cases), this is an increase of 121 cases. This brings the 7-day incidence to 30.96.
The last time more than 500 new infections were recorded in a 24-hour period was May 28, exactly two months ago.
In addition, there is no new death associated with Covid 19 infection. The number of active cases rises to 4,884 with 339 new recoveries.
In the past 24 hours, 65,646 new PCR tests were performed, bringing the positive rate to 0.84 percent.
There are 6 fewer Corona patients in hospitals. In intensive care units, there is 1 fewer patient.
