60 percent of the population have received their first partial vaccination. After 52,491 vaccinations were administered on Friday, 5,287,726 have received at least the first sting (59.2 percent of the population), according to E-vaccine passport data. 4,565,629, or 51.1 percent of Austrians, are already fully immunized.
According to Friday’s figures, the first-ever vaccination rate is highest in Burgenland, at 66.6 percent. Seven-day incidence is also lowest there. In Lower Austria, 62.1 percent of the population is vaccinated, and in Styria, 59.6 percent. After Tyrol (58.8), Vorarlberg (57.7), Vienna (57.1), Carinthia (55.9) and Salzburg (55.6), Upper Austria brings up the rear with a vaccination coverage rate of 55.1 percent.
659,056 have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. Since the outbreak, 643,027 people have recovered; within the past 24 hours, 430 were considered healthy again.
