The incidence is to be supplemented in the evaluation of the pandemic by other values such as hospitalizations, yet it remains the supporting factor. And it has been rising steadily for weeks.
The seven-day incidence continues to rise. According to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Friday morning, it was 30.1 – the previous day the value was 27.6, a week ago it was 20.4. The health offices in Germany reported the RKI last within one day 5578 Corona new infections. This is according to figures reflecting the status of the RKI dashboard as of 03:59. A week ago, the figure for Germany had been 3448 infections.
The incidence was in the pandemic so far the basis for many Corona restrictions, for example in the context of the federal emergency brake, which expired at the end of June. In the future, other values such as hospital admissions will be taken into account to a greater extent. Across Germany, 19 deaths were recorded within 24 hours, according to the new data. A week ago, there had been 24 deaths. The RKI counted 3,810,641 proven infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The RKI reported the number of people who recovered as 3,675,800. The number of people who died from or with the involvement of a confirmed infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 91,853.
