The FFP2 mask obligation will be extended from Wednesday, September 15, in Austria. Added to the regulation: people who are neither vaccinated nor recovered must also wear an FFP2 mask in cultural institutions such as museums, libraries and archives. However, the wearing of a mask does not apply in all areas. In concerts and theaters, a negative Corona test is still sufficient, as the “3G rule” applies here.
However, the FFP2 mask is making a comeback for everyone as of September 15! Everywhere, where up to now a mouth-nose-protection was to be carried, now all must put on again a FFP2 mask. This applies, for example, to supermarkets, pharmacies, drugstores and public transport.
In the food trade – including sales places of food producers as well as gas station with attached sales places of food – thus starting from Wednesday all customers must carry again a FFP2 mask, also vaccinated!
And what about other stores and shopping centers? Unvaccinated people must wear an FFP2 mask in all retail outlets, including clothing stores and electronics stores. The new Corona rules in retail as well as in shopping malls in detail:
➤ Customers who are vaccinated or recovered do not have to wear a mask. Customers must have proof ready for the duration of their stay.
➤ Unvaccinated and non-recovering clients must wear an FFP2 mask indoors.
➤ For this purpose, only persons who have proof of recovery or a certificate of segregation are considered “recovered” (proof of antibodies does not apply).
