In Austria, 1,696 new infections with the coronavirus were registered within 24 hours from Monday to Tuesday. This brings the current 7-day incidence to 160.89. In addition, nine new Covid-related deaths have been reported.
Currently, 805 people are receiving hospital care for corona virus – an increase of 52 patients from Monday morning. Of these, 200 are being cared for in intensive care units, an increase of nine from the previous day.
To date, there have been 713,269 positive test results in Austria. As of today (September 14, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 10,849 people across Austria have died as a result of the Corona virus.
Nearly 60 percent fully immunized
7,586 people received a Corona vaccination on Monday. Overall, Austria continues to scratch the 60 percent mark and is now in the lower EU average. Specifically, 5,610,030 people (62.80% of the total population) have received at least one Corona vaccination, of which 5,304,932 people (59.39%) have full vaccination protection.
