On Saturday, the new infections are 1,416 people. Thereby, there were no current figures from Vienna due to technical problems. 11,021 people have died from the coronavirus.
In Austria, 1,416 new infections with the coronavirus have been registered in the past 24 hours. However, this figure from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior (as of Saturday, 9:30 a.m.) should be viewed with great caution, because the figures from Vienna are missing. The Ministry of Health claimed technical problems, which is why the figures from the federal capital could not be updated.
If the trend of the past few days continues, another 450 to 600 new infections are likely to be added from the federal capital. The seven-day incidence was given as 135.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and the number of active cases as 20,394, which would be 206 more than on Friday. There have been 746,380 confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection so far since the pandemic began. There have been 714,965 people reported as recovered so far, with 1,203 added within the past 24 hours.
New infections in the provinces on Saturday:
Burgenland: 33
Carinthia: 151
Lower Austria: 239
Upper Austria: 484
Salzburg: 120
Styria: 201
Tyrol: 134
Vorarlberg: 54
Vienna: Due to technical problems, the figures from Vienna cannot be updated on Saturday.
