According to a ZAMG forecast, a cold front will move over Austria on Tuesday, bringing significantly cooler temperatures and rain with it.
The thermometer will reach 27 degrees on Monday and Tuesday (in the east), on Wednesday it will only be 16 degrees.

Sunny weather in Vienna
The details: In the eastern half of Austria, sunshine will once again predominate on Monday at the start of the week. Early fogs are rare and dissolve quickly. However, there will be considerably more clouds throughout the day from Vorarlberg to Salzburg, as well as in East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia. Especially in the far west and in the southern backwater of the Alps, sporadic rain is to be expected. The wind will be mostly light away from the mountains. Early temperatures will range from seven to 16 degrees, with daytime highs ranging from 16 to 27 degrees from west to east.

On Tuesday, a cold front reaches Austria from the west and slowly spreads eastward with dense clouds and rain until the evening. It will reach Upper Austria as well as Upper Carinthia and Salzburg during the evening hours. Further east, however, sunshine will prevail once again. The last remnants of fog will soon be dissipated with moderate to brisk winds from southern directions. Only later will the first denser clouds appear. However, it will remain dry here for the time being. From nine to 15 degrees in the morning, temperatures will reach 13 to 27 degrees in the afternoon from west to east.

Austria gets rainy weather
On Wednesday, a trough of low pressure between two centers over the North Sea and Upper Italy will be effective over the Eastern Alps. Thus, it will be cloudy and rainy all day in large parts of Austria. The focus of precipitation intensity lies south of the main ridge of the Alps, then in the east. A moderate wind will blow from the west. Early temperatures will range from six to 13 degrees, with little daytime warming and highs between ten and 16 degrees.

On Thursday, the disturbing influence with a low over Italy will remain steady, especially in the eastern half of Austria. West of the Tyrolean lowlands, there will still be denser clouds with rain and snowfall down to 1,700 meters, especially in the northern congestion. Otherwise, the sun will show itself here again and again during the day. In the east, it will be persistently cloudy and rainy, with heavy rain between Burgenland and Lower Carinthia. The wind will blow moderately from north to east, on the southern flanks of the main Alpine ridge there will be a northerly foehn. From six to eleven degrees in the morning, temperatures will rise to only twelve to 15 degrees by afternoon.

Temperature maximum at 15 degrees
On Friday, with the low pressure center over the southern Adriatic Sea, the eastern Alpine region will remain under the influence of disturbances in a northeasterly flow. Thus, it will be cloudy and rainy all day, especially on the northern side of the Alps and in the east. However, heavy rainfall is no longer expected. Towards evening, the clouds will clear in the north and west. On the southern side of the Alps, it will be partly foehny, otherwise a weak to moderate wind will blow from north to east. Early temperatures will range from five to eleven degrees, with daytime highs reaching ten to 15 degrees.
