From Monday to Tuesday, 1,285 new Corona infections were registered in Austria. This is below the average of the past seven days (1,768).
There are also 15 new deaths related to Covid 19 infection to report, bringing the pandemic death toll in Austria to 11,049 so far. The number of active cases is down by 423 to 19,503, with a seven-day incidence of 143.25.
There are currently 872 people in Austria’s hospitals related to covid disease, up 48 from the previous day. 232 patients are in an intensive care unit – that is 12 more than the day before.
In the past 24 hours, 186,849 PCR tests have been performed, with a positive rate of 0.69 percent.
