Slowly, more and more children are also being vaccinated against Corona. In Upper Austria, 24 percent of 12- to 14-year-olds have already received a prick.
We are approaching 60 percent. Currently, 57.6 percent in Upper Austria are fully immunized, meaning they have already received two vaccinations. In the Urfahr-Umgebung district, the figure is already over 60 percent, namely 63.1 percent. The lowest vaccination rate is in the district of Braunau with 50.8 percent.
This is the result of the current announcement of the Upper Austrian crisis management team.
2,408 Upper Austrians have even already received the third prick.
As far as the number of new infections is concerned, Upper Austria, with 359 from Monday to Tuesday, is far ahead of all other provinces. For comparison: in Lower Austria there were “only” 249, in Vienna 201.
114 Corona patients are in normal wards in Upper Austria, 77 are not fully vaccinated (67.5 percent). The situation is even more dramatic in intensive care units. There are 40 Corona patients there, 35 of whom are not fully immunized (87.5 percent).
There are also four other deaths: a 59-year-old from Wels, an 81-year-old from the Steyr-Land district, an 82-year-old from the Grieskirchen district and an 87-year-old from the Linz-Land district – all with pre-existing conditions.
