From Friday to Saturday, 1,868 new Corona infections were registered in Austria.
There are also six new deaths related to Covid 19 infection to report, bringing the pandemic’s death toll in Austria to 11,090 so far. The number of active cases is down by 383 to 20,266, with a seven-day incidence of 147.88.
There are currently 831 people in Austria’s hospitals related to covid disease, down 15 from the previous day. 219 patients are in an intensive care unit – that is two less than the day before.
In the past 24 hours, 115,364 PCR tests have been performed, with a positive rate of 1.62 percent.
