In view of the 3-G regulation at the workplace, the City of Vienna has set up a 24-hour test lane. Testing is done by PCR and antigen.

Anyone who is at least occasionally in contact with other people at work must be tested, vaccinated or recovered. To ensure that unvaccinated people can be tested at any time, the City of Vienna has now set up a 24-hour test lane at the Ernst Happel Stadium.

This is in continuous operation with immediate effect. Parking is possible on site, but it is recommended to travel by public transport, because either way you have to use the walk-in. The 24-hour test road is operated by a consortium of Arbeiter-Samariterbund, Red Cross, Green Cross, Johanniter and Malteser.

Testing is done by PCR and rapid antigen test. The latter is valid for 24 hours, while PCR tests are valid for 48 hours. As with all testing services, prior appointment registration is required; this is possible online at coronavirus.wien.gv.at or by phone at 1450.

Alles gurgelt” is also far from being fully utilized. Possible would be 500,000 tests per day, at present 600,000 per week are accomplished.

“The 24-hour test lane will increase rapid antigen testing capacity by 36 percent. Current test line capacity is nearly 300,000 tests per week. (Approximately 210,000 PCR tests and 80,000 rapid antigen tests per week),” Hacker spokesman Mario Dujaković said on Twitter.
