Daytime highs around 15 degrees with increasingly sunny weather. A weak cold front is expected to pass through on National Day.
In Vorarlberg and Tyrol, as well as in East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia, sunny and dry weather will prevail throughout Saturday. Only in some basins and valleys fog patches may persist at first. Everywhere else, however, there will initially be an interplay of dense clouds and sunshine. With a snow line between 1,000 and 1,300 meters, individual rain showers cannot be ruled out. During the afternoon hours, however, the clouds will clear more and more and the sunny spells will become more frequent and also longer. The wind will come from westerly directions and blow weakly to moderately, in the east also briskly. In the morning, temperatures will range from minus one to plus eight degrees, in the afternoon from eight to 15 degrees.
Fog in many places in the morning
On Sunday, high air pressure will determine our weather. Mostly the sun will shine in large parts of the country, but especially in the first hours there will be some fog and high fog in the lowlands. Particularly affected are the basin areas in the south, where fog or high fog often dries up slowly only around noon. But also in the southeast and in the eastern lowlands a few fogs will persist during the first hours. The wind will be light, with moderate easterly winds only in the Danube region. After early temperatures of minus four to plus five degrees, later between eight and 16 degrees will be reached.
Monday morning and early morning, fog or high fog will persist in some basins and valleys. The gray layers can be somewhat tougher, especially in the south. The sun will then come out everywhere during the day, it will be bright sunny and only a few veil clouds will pass through. The wind will be light to moderate, in the eastern lowlands and on the eastern edge of the Alps a brisk southeast wind will blow. Minus three to plus five degrees at the beginning of the day, nine to 16 degrees later.
Pleasant weather also on the holiday
For the national holiday on Tuesday, from today’s perspective, the passage of a weak cold front foothills. However, this should hardly have an effect on the weather and mostly just push a few cloud fields over Austria. Again and again, however, the sun will shine. The wind will change from southerly to westerly directions and will freshen up a bit in places. After minus two to plus six degrees in the morning, the ZAMG forecasts highs of eight to 14 degrees.
