The freeway toll sticker for Austria will become more expensive in 2022: the annual toll sticker for cars will cost 93.80 euros next year, and that for motorcycles 37.20 euros. In terms of color, it will shine in the shade “apricot” in 2022.
AUSTRIA. The reason for the price increase: the 2022 vignette prices will be adjusted by 1.4 percent to the consumer price index. The annual vignette for passenger cars will cost 93.80 euros (adhesive and digital vignette), compared with 92.50 euros in 2021. That for motorcycles costs for 2022 37,20 euro.
The new vignette will be available in the last days of November at around 6,000 ASFINAG vignette sales partners in Austria and abroad. The 2022 freeway sticker will be valid from December 1, 2021. The color of the new 2022 sticker is apricot.
New tariffs 2022
New tariffs 2022 for passenger cars (or all two-lane vehicles up to 3.5t hzG):
10-day vignette: EUR 9.60
2-month vignette: EUR 28.20
yearly vignette: EUR 93,80
New tariffs 2022 for motorcycles (single-track vehicles):
10-day vignette: EUR 5.60
2-month vignette: EUR 14.10
Yearly vignette: EUR 37.20
Digital vignette
The freeway vignette can also be purchased digitally for 2022: To do so, ASFINAG’s webshop must be accessed at store.asfinag.at. The digital vignette is available as a ten-day, two-month or annual vignette. Registering the license plate eliminates the need for sticking and scratching off.
Valid for 14 months
The annual vignette is valid for 14 months, as usual, from December 1 of the previous year to January 31 of the following year. The current apple-green sticker is valid until January 31, 2022; as of February 1, only the new sticker must be affixed.
