The lockdown for the unvaccinated went into effect at midnight. With him “hardly noticeable effects would be achieved”, demand among other things representatives of the traffic light commission a full lockdown. Because in practice changes now to 2G only that humans without vaccination may not store any longer. The measures remain limited to ten days for legal reasons and must then be extended.

Tightening in schools
The schools remain, despite the highest incidence among boys in attendance classes. There will be tightening: by Nov. 29, students must take a Corona test (including one PCR test) three times a week. FFP2 is mandatory for teachers and students at high schools. In Vienna, the rules are stricter.

EXIT RESTRICTIONS FOR 35% UNVACCINATED.

What’s not allowed:

  • Shopping (including at fashion, furniture, and electronics stores, hardware stores, etc.)
  • Visit to the hairdresser or beautician
  • Visit to the innkeeper, coffee house
  • Going to the gym, cinema, theater, museum, concert
  • Libraries, museums, etc.
  • Visits to old people’s homes, nursing homes or hospitals (exceptions, including: Accompanying minors, pregnant women during childbirth, palliative/hospice visits).
  • Exceptions:
  • Children up to the age of 12.
  • With PCR test and certificate: pregnant women, people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons

What is allowed:

  • Necessary errands (grocery stores, tobacconists, pet stores, gas stations, banks, post office, auto repair shops, etc.)
  • Trips to and from work (by public transportation or own vehicle)
  • Bringing/picking up children at school
  • Trips to the doctor, pharmacy, PCR test, or vaccinations
  • Meetings with close relatives and important caregivers
  • Assistance
  • Cemetery visits
  • Taking care of animals
  • Going to school
  • Outdoor recreation (walking, running, etc.)
  • Going to the authorities
  • Picking up food in restaurants
  • Visiting drive-in cinemas
  • The FFP2 obligation also applies to vaccinated persons in public indoor areas (public transport, grocery stores, authorities), as well as 3G at the workplace. There are stricter requirements for employees in night catering (2G or 2GPlus with FFP2 mask) and in hospitals, old people’s homes and nursing homes (2G or 2GPlus with FFP2 mask).

Regional tightening:

VIENNA

  • FFP2 mask obligation indoors, in gastronomy (for staff and customers), at the workplace in close contact with other persons, for service providers close to the body
  • 2GPlus in night catering, from 25 persons – also in cinemas, theaters, at sporting events
  • For children from 12 to 15 years, the 2.5G rule applies (vaccinated, recovered, PCR-tested). This means that the “Ninja Pass” is valid during the week, but not throughout the weekend. For this age group,
  • PCR tests are valid for 48 hours.

UPPER AUSTRIA

  • Events prohibited until December 6, exception: professional sports and cultural areas.
  • Mandatory wearing of masks in all indoor areas, outdoor markets and sports venues
  • Night gastronomy closed until December 6
  • Eating and drinking in gastronomy allowed only in sitting position
    One-meter distance between groups of guests
  • 2G at snack stands
  • No food and drink at (Christkindl) markets
  • SALZBURG
  • Extended FFP2 mask obligation at events and trade fairs, at service providers close to the body for employees and customers, for all employees with customer contact – also outdoors
  • Eating and drinking in the catering trade only permitted while seated
  • Ban on alcohol in public
