Due to the infection incidence, further measures will come into force in Vienna from November 19.
Extension of the FFP2 mask obligation
Gastronomy: staff must wear FFP2 masks . Guests will wear an FFP2 mask when entering the restaurant, on the way to the table and when leaving the table.
Trade: All personnel wear FFP2 mask. The FFP2 mask requirement for customers remains unchanged.
Body-related services: Both body-facing service providers and customers wear FFP2 masks.
Indoor areas: The FFP2 mask obligation is also extended to all indoor areas that are not private areas. This means especially in the workplace, where there is close contact with other people (not only with customers, but also between work colleagues). This applies in particular to those areas where there are no structural protective measures.
2G+: Vaccinated, recovered and a valid PCR test
For gatherings of more than 25 people – regardless of whether they take place indoors or outdoors – and in night catering, 2G+ will apply to participants/customers in the future. This means that they must present a valid recovery or vaccination certificate and additionally a negative PCR test result that is not older than 48 hours.
Ninja pass and admission regulations for children and teenagers
The testing requirement for ages 6 and older remains in effect.
For children aged 6 to 11 years, 3G applies with extended test validities: 48 hours for the rapid antigen test and 72 hours for the PCR test. In this age group, a fully completed Ninja Pass also counts as entry eligibility until the respective end of the week.
For children and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15, the Ninja Pass does not count as an entry test. In Vienna, 2.5G applies to them and each school test individually.
Christkindl Markets and Gyms
Nothing changes for Christkindl Markets. 2G is still valid. In fitness studios, 2G also applies, and FFP2 masks are mandatory on the way to and from the equipment, and on the way to and from the shower.
