Coronavirus continues to rise in Austria. More than 5,400 cases were reported within one day.
In the past 24 hours (as of Tuesday, 9:30 a.m.), 5496 new infections have been recorded in Austria. The previous day, there were 3319, on Tuesday a week ago at all “only” 2416 new Corona cases. Thus, the number of new infections has doubled within a week.
An increase of 25 Corona patients was recorded in normal hospital wards. Four fewer patients than the previous day are in need of intensive care. Thus, 316 Corona-infected people are currently in intensive care units.
In the past 24 hours, 25 people infected with the corona virus died. Austria thus now counts 13,784 Corona deaths.
