Seven new deaths linked to Covid-19. 278 intensive care patients currently.
After the federal government announced some new rules on yesterday’s holiday, there are 8,786 new infections from Thursday to Friday. This is well above the average of 6,158 over the past seven days, with the number of active cases rising to 57,298. The 7-day incidence is 484.28.
In the past 24 hours, there have been 291,374 PCR tests which is a positive rate of 3.02.
There are also seven new deaths associated with Covid-19 infection to report. Thus, the pandemic has so far claimed 13,830 lives in Austria.
Hospitals are currently treating 929 patients. That is 42 fewer people. Intensive care units in the country are currently treating 278 patients, 17 fewer than on Thursday.
