Thirty-nine deaths linked to Covid-19 infection.
From Wednesday to Thursday, 28,591 new infections were registered in Austria. This is above the seven-day average of 26,484. Currently, 277,970 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 2,082.74 In the past 24 hours, 438,936 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 6.32 percent.
There are also 39 new deaths associated with Covid 19 infection to report. Thus, the pandemic has claimed 14,700 lives in Austria so far.
198 in intensive care units
Currently, 2,413 people are receiving hospital treatment for the Corona virus. Of these, 198 are being cared for in intensive care units.
