Corona rules will be dropped mainly in Germany as of March 20, but a hotspot regulation gives the state options for intervention. According to their statements, Justice Minister Marco Buschmann (FDP) and Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) agreed on this.
“We have, I think, found a perfect compromise,” said Buschmann on Wednesday in the ZDF “Morgenmagazin.” This is based on two pillars: First, there will be “virtually no more restrictions in the everyday lives of citizens.” Exceptions would be masks and tests where many vulnerable people, i.e., in nursing or hospitals. There could also be a mask requirement in public transportation. “Open everything, of course, that is not provided,” Lauterbach said.
