Many Viennese had positive test results at the weekend.
Almost 7,300 new cases were registered on Sunday. Three people died. There are over 38,000 new infections throughout Austria.
Since the pandemic’s beginning, 648,619 positive tests have already been confirmed in Vienna. Five hundred fifty-five thousand six hundred eighty-six people have already recovered. So far, there have been 3,130 deaths connected to a Corona infection. Most recently, three Viennese died from the insidious virus.
Vienna in second place
Thus, according to MA15, there are currently 89,803 active cases of people infected with Corona. The figures reported on Sunday include 6,958 findings from Saturday, 261 findings from 11 March, 80 findings from 10 March, one positive test result from 9 March, and 21 findings from the previous week.
Over 38,999 cases in Austria
In total, there are 7,285 new infections – second place in Austria behind Lower Austria with 8,550 cases. In the whole of Austria, there were 38,060 new Corona cases on Sunday. On Saturday, there were still 44,465 new infections throughout Austria.
