From Thursday to Friday, 14,085 new infections were registered in Austria. This is below the average of the past seven days of 15,692. Currently, 219,017 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus. The seven-day incidence is 1,234.02. In the past 24 hours, 179,566 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 7.84 percent.
There are also 27 new deaths associated with Covid 19 infections to report. The pandemic has thus claimed 16,168 lives in Austria.
Currently, 2,598 people are treated in hospitals, and 203 people receive intensive care.
