Nine hundred fifty-nine new deaths, including a follow-up report already announced.
From Thursday to Friday, 8,155 new infections were registered in Austria. This is slightly above the average of 7,957 diseases over the past seven days. The 7-day incidence is currently 625.77. Currently, 106,687 people are actively infected.
In the past 24 hours, 247,374 PCR tests have been performed. This results in a positive rate of 3.30 percent.
In addition, 959 new deaths have been reported. This includes a large proportion of the previously announced subsequent notifications. Thus, the pandemic has claimed 18,016 lives so far.
Currently, 1,627 people are treated in hospitals—77 fewer than the previous day. One hundred twenty-seven people are treated in the intensive care unit, three fewer than on Thursday.
