One new death associated with Covid 19 infection has been reported.
From Monday to Tuesday, 1,903 new infections were registered in Austria. This is below the past seven-day average of 2,112. Currently, 34,594 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 166.08. In the past 24 hours, 49,442 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 3.85 percent.
In addition, there is one new death to report related to Covid-19 infection. Thus, the pandemic has still claimed 18,652 lives in Austria.
Currently, 475 people are being treated in hospitals, and 43 people are now being cared for in intensive care units.
