Seven new deaths were linked to Covid 19 infection.
This brings the number of active Corona cases to 110,948. Ninety-five thousand two hundred new PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 10.33 percent.
The Ministry of Health reported 9,831 new infections from Monday to Tuesday in Austria. This is below the 7-day average of 10,243 infections. The 7-day incidence drops slightly to 805.54.
In addition, there are seven new deaths. This means that 18,805 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died across Austria. There are currently 982 SARS-CoV-2 positive persons in the hospital. This is 140 more than a week ago. Fifty-six people are presently being cared for in intensive care units. Among the critically ill, nine more have been added since last Tuesday.
Vaccinations
On Monday, 1,694 Corona vaccinations were administered. According to E-vaccine passport data, 6,832,303 people have already received at least one vaccination. Basic immunization – triple vaccination – is precisely 5,010,318 people, or 55.8 percent of the population.
