Eleven new deaths were linked to Covid 19 infection.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, 12,529 new infections were registered in Austria. This is above the 7-day average of 10,246 infections. The 7-day incidence drops slightly to 805.77.
Most recently, there were more than 12,500 new infections in early April.
This brings the number of active Corona cases to 113,936. In the past 24 hours, 90,867 new PCR tests were made. This results in a positive rate of 13.79 percent.
In addition, there are 11 new deaths. This means that 18,816 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died across Austria.
In the hospital, 958 people are currently being treated, 24 fewer than the previous day. In the intensive care unit, there are 58 patients, two more than on Tuesday.
