From Saturday to Sunday, 9,249 new infections were registered in Austria. This is below the 7-day average of 10,296 infections. The 7-day incidence increases slightly to 809.72.
This brings the number of active Corona cases to 117,658. Fifty-four thousand sixty-seven new PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 17.11 percent.
In addition, there are five new deaths. This means that 18,877 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died across Austria.
In the hospital, 1,011 patients are currently being treated, nine more than on Saturday. In the intensive care unit, there are 49 people, six less than the previous day.
Immunizations
One thousand four hundred seventy-four vaccinations were given Saturday, 30 of which were first-time shots. According to the E-vaccine passport data, 6,833,128 people have already received at least one vaccination. Primary immunization is 5,019,686 people, so 55.9 percent of the population has received the required three vaccine doses.
