From Wednesday to Thursday, 12,512 new infections were registered in Austria. This is well above the 7-day average of 10,725 infections. The 7-day incidence increases slightly to 843.45.
This brings the number of active Corona cases to 119,218. One hundred nine thousand seven hundred twenty-five new PCR tests were made in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 11.40 percent.
In addition, there are seven new deaths. This means that 18,916 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died across Austria.
In the hospital, 1,166 people are currently being treated, 15 more than the previous day. In intensive care units, there are 71 patients, five more than on the last day.
