There were 15 Covid-related deaths from Friday to Saturday.

One thousand five hundred eleven patients were in the hospital Saturday in the wake of a corona infection, up 15 from yesterday. Eighty-one people were cared for in intensive care units – that number increased by one since Friday and is the same in a week. There have been 15 Covid-related deaths since yesterday, as of 9:30 a.m. Saturday, 10,908 new infections have been reported in the past 24 hours. That’s below the seven-day average (11,523).

The seven-day incidence was 898.2 cases per 100,000 population. As of Saturday, there were 12,8478 active cases in Austria, down 233 from the previous day. Since the start of the pandemic, 4,680,148 cases have been confirmed. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 4,532,678 people, and within the past 24 hours, 11,126 were considered recovered.

In the past seven days, 62 deaths have been recorded. The Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 18,992 lives in Austria since the outbreak. Per 100,000 population, 211.5 people have died from or with Covid-19 since the pandemic began.

In the past 24 hours, 72,159 conclusive PCR tests have been reported. The positive rate of PCR tests was 15.1 percent. This 24-hour figure is higher than the average for the past week (an average of 11 percent of PCR tests positive). Three thousand eight hundred seventy-seven vaccinations were administered on Friday: 184 first-time, 340 second-time, and 3,353 third-time.
