The Ministries of Health and Interior have reported 3,831 newly registered coronavirus cases within the last 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. today). The states reported these numbers to the national crisis team. Due to reduced testing possibilities and readiness, experts suspect a much higher number of unreported cases.
Nineteen thousand three hundred ninety-four people have died in connection with the coronavirus. One thousand sixty-two infected persons are currently being treated in hospitals, 74 in intensive care units. It is not possible to distinguish between principal and secondary diagnoses nationwide.
AGES: 7-day incidence at 392.7
According to the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), the 7-day incidence, i.e., the number of new infections with the coronavirus in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, is 392.7 (as of 14:00 yesterday).
The reporting scheme of the AGES shows the figures from the previous day – like the notification of the ministries. Significant difference from the ministry reports: Laboratory-confirmed cases, deaths, etc., are not shown at the time of reporting but the date of diagnosis or death. In
