On Friday, 3,207 new Corona infections were reported by AGES in Austria. Thirteen people infected with the coronavirus have died in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), three thousand two hundred seven infections with the coronavirus have been registered.
Number of new corona infections in Austria below seven-day average
The number of new Corona infections reported is below the seven-day average of 3,741 cases. The effective reproduction rate, which indicates how many more people an infected person will infect, is currently 0.9, compared to 0.78 a week ago. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 5,484,553 confirmed cases in Austria.
1,034 Corona patients in hospitals
There were 1,034 infected people in the hospital on Friday morning, 25 fewer than the previous day, minus 294 from the last week. Sixty-seven people are being cared for in intensive care units. In one day, 13 Covid deaths were added to 21,082 pandemic victims.
17,006 Corona vaccinations on Thursday
17,006 Covid vaccinations were given Thursday, and 15,893 booster shots after the three-part primary immunization. More than 1.2 million people have received booster vaccinations so far.
