There are currently almost 25,000 active corona cases in Vienna. Four hundred twelve people are presently in hospital.
A new, highly contagious Corona variant has dominated Austria again for weeks. The federal capital of Vienna currently has 24,872 active Corona cases. Alone, 2,253 of these positive findings come from the previous day. In the last 24 hours, nine people have died from or with the virus.
In calendar week nine (from February 28 to March 6), 27,001 people were on sick leave throughout Austria due to a Corona infection. Vienna leads the ranking, with 7,698 people reported here ill alone. The first experts again recommend keeping your distance and wearing a mask because of the rising Corona numbers.
Four hundred twelve people are in a hospital in Vienna because of or with a Corona infection; six of them are in a Corona intensive care unit. The health hotline 1450 recorded 1,543 calls. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vienna has confirmed 1,373,799 positive Corona tests.
