As the month draws to a close, the weather remains suitably changeable for April, but temperatures rise to spring levels.
Over 20 degrees are, in many cases, at least intermittently indoors, despite repeatedly appearing clouds. On Friday, dense clouds cover the sky, especially in the west and along the northern side of the Alps. It often rains persistently, otherwise only intermittently. Towards the east, there will be less rain, but even there, the clouds will remain dense throughout the day. In the south, there will be little rain, but even here, there will be only isolated gaps in the clouds. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from mainly southerly directions. Early temperatures will range from two to nine degrees, while daytime highs will range from eleven to 18 degrees.
Unsettled weather on Saturday
The weather will be unsettled on Saturday. Especially in the north, east, and southeast, some rain showers or even thunderstorms are to be expected. However, there will also be longer sunny spells in the country. The wind will be partly moderate from the west, especially in the north. Otherwise, it will be light. Early temperatures will range from five to eleven degrees Celsius, with daytime highs from 15 to 23 degrees Celsius, with the highest values in the south.
Weak disturbing influence on Sunday
On Sunday, weak disturbing influences will cause short, unproductive rain showers during the day, especially in the eastern half; in the west, it will be primarily rain-free. The sun will appear everywhere in phases, often in the afternoon, and most showers will subside. Initially, a brisk north wind will blow at the eastern edge of the Alps. In the morning, five to ten degrees Celsius; during the day, from northeast to southwest, it is 14 to 21 degrees.
Rainy weather on national holiday
Between the North Sea and Italy, a trough of low pressure will form on Monday, resulting in rainy weather on the national holiday, especially in the west. Rain showers are also expected in the south and southeast at the beginning. The northern Alps will be partly foehn and slightly milder with a strong southerly flow. Especially in the Danube region, brisk winds will blow from southerly directions. The early morning temperatures should range between five and ten degrees, and the daily highs between twelve and 21 degrees.
Low-pressure influence weakens on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the low-pressure influence will slowly weaken, and the air pressure will gradually increase from the northwest. Thus, the current in the Eastern Alps will turn west to northwest during the day. Short rain showers will again be widespread, but the sunny phases in between will last longer than before. Occasional thunder and lightning may also be present. Especially in the Danube region, the westerly wind will pick up noticeably. In the morning, six to twelve degrees Celsius are expected, and up to 21 degrees during the day.
