Ms. Amina Rasul Bernardo, President of the Philippine Center for Islam Democracy, accepted the Intercultural Achievement Award in the media category from the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna on 10 October 2023 for the “She Talks Peace” podcast.
“She Talks Peace” is a podcast series highlighting women peacebuilders worldwide’s role in bringing lasting peace and security to their communities. It is hosted by Ms. Rasul Bernardo, who served in the cabinet of President Fidel V. Ramos as National Youth Affairs Adviser and Chair of the National Youth Commission, and Ms. Dina Zaman, a Malaysian journalist and co-founder of IMAN Research.
The Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs has been giving the Intercultural Achievement Awards since 2014 to promote intercultural and interreligious dialogues and identify the best practices of cultural projects internationally.
This year, 364 organizations submitted their projects in the following categories: sustainability, recent events, innovation, media, and technology. The winners in the five categories came from North Macedonia, Ethiopia, Argentina, the Philippines, and Benin.
