Those who have planned an outdoor excursion this weekend can rejoice! The weather will again be friendly, sunny and mild. Furthermore, it is possible for temperatures to reach 21 degrees at the beginning of November.
But before the sunny weekend can start, it will rain again today, Friday, in the east and south of Austria under the influence of low pressure. Particularly in the south, even partly heavy showers are to be expected. Although Friday will also start cloudy in the west, the sun will be the first to appear there. In the afternoon, it will also appear in the eastern half. During the day, maximum temperatures of up to 16 degrees are possible.
On Saturday, all cloud fields should clear up; short rain showers are still possible beforehand. Especially in the west, however, the day will start sunny, and from noon on, sunshine will be possible almost all over the country. The early temperatures will reach three to ten degrees, and the daily highs will be twelve to 17 degrees.
Even 21 degrees will be expected on Sunday
On Sunday morning, some fog may persist for a few hours, especially on the southern side of the Alps and in the northeast. Clouds will also gather in the southwest; otherwise, a friendly sky picture will prevail, and the sun will shine quite often. However, between Vorarlberg and Upper Styria, a partly strong southerly foehn will develop, reaching some valley areas in classic foehn streaks with strong gusts. Early temperatures will mainly rise to between two and ten, while daytime highs will range from eleven to 21 degrees, depending on the duration of fog or sunshine and the effects of the fog.
It will also be windy at the beginning of the week
The southern foehn situation will likely intensify in the country at the beginning of the week. However, the weather will be mostly pleasant and partly sunny, especially in northern Austria. Gradually, some medium-high and cirrus clouds, also known as “ice clouds,” may also appear. The precipitation frequency will then increase during the day. Again, maximum temperatures of up to 21 degrees are possible.
The sun should say goodbye on Tuesday.
The weather development on Tuesday is still uncertain. It is expected to cloud over and rain again, at least in the south, west, and northwest. The snow line in the heavy precipitation zones will gradually drop below 2,000 meters. Towards the east, there will be more extended periods of clearing and a few sunny windows before the disturbing influence increases and precipitation becomes more frequent. Temperatures will be widely scattered, mostly between eight and 17 in the morning and about ten to 20 degrees during the day.
