The winds will be moderate to brisk north of the main Alpine ridge and strong from west to northwest in the eastern region. A weather warning is in place for parts of the east until 1 p.m.

Vienna: After a sunny start to the day, thicker clouds will gradually gather as the day progresses. The wind will blow from the west, initially brisk and later moderate. Temperatures around 0 degrees in the morning, reaching up to 3 degrees during the day.
Lower Austria: The day will start with dense clouds in the western parts of the province and on the northern edge of the Alps. It will snow lightly at first. Everywhere else, however, sunshine will initially predominate. By the evening, however, the clouds will become increasingly dense here too. The wind will come from the west to northwest and blow moderately to briskly. Temperatures will be minus 4 to plus 1 degrees. During the day, temperatures will reach minus 2 to plus 3 degrees.
Burgenland: In addition to sunshine, a few denser clouds will sometimes pass through until the evening. Apart from a few snowflakes, it will remain largely dry. The wind will blow from the west to northwest and will be moderate to brisk in the northern half. Minus 4 to plus 1 degree in the morning. The highest temperatures of the day will be 3 to 5 degrees.
Styria: On Tuesday, cold air will firmly grip Austria and Styria. With variable cloud cover, the sun will often shine in the south. In the north, there will be denser clouds in the morning, and it may snow lightly in the morning. Otherwise, it will remain dry everywhere. Moderate winds from west to north. After early temperatures between -10 and -4 degrees, the temperature will rise to 0 to 4 degrees in the afternoon.
Carinthia: Tuesday has plenty of sunshine to offer. However, the sunshine will not be completely unclouded, as a few extensive patches of cloud in high layers will occasionally move through from the northwest – probably with a focus around midday in the northern parts of the province. Early morning fog patches will be very sporadic and give way to sunshine during the day. After a frosty morning, highs are often expected to be around or slightly above 0 degrees.
Upper Austria: On Tuesday, it will be cloudy at first, with light snowfall in the Mühlviertel and the southern mountains. Soon, dry weather will prevail, the clouds will break up a little, and a few sunny spells will be possible. The westerly wind will initially be brisk to strong with gusts of around 40 km/h but will ease considerably in the afternoon. Early temperatures will be between -6 and -2 degrees, with highs reaching -3 to +3 degrees.
Salzburg: On Tuesday, denser residual clouds will soon clear, and extensive and quite dense cloud fields will follow sunny spells during the course of the day. Most sunshine is expected in the southern parts of the country. There will be no precipitation. Winds from the west to the northwest will be brisk initially but will ease considerably as the day progresses. Early temperatures will be between -10 and -2 degrees, with highs reaching -5 to +2 degrees.
Tyrol: The sun will prevail against the initial low clouds. It will remain dry during the day with a mixture of sunshine and high overcast. The wind is not an issue. It will remain cold, with permafrost in many places. Lows: -9 to -3 degrees. Highs: -4 to 0 degrees.
