In the coming days, we can expect unusually high temperatures for the time of year.

On Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will rise just below the 30-degree mark. According to the forecast by Geosphere Austria, Monday and Tuesday will also be extremely summery and sunny.

Sunny start to the weekend
In most of Austria, the weather will be quite friendly on Friday, with some sunny spells lasting longer. North of the Alps, however, there will also be some clouds in the middle layers, while the partly high fog in the south may clear up by mid-morning. The wind will be mostly light, and the initially moderate westerly wind in the Danube region will soon die down. Early temperatures will range between three and 13 degrees, with daytime highs mostly between 18 and 24 degrees.

Temperatures are just below 30 degrees on Saturday and Sunday
During the first half of the day on Saturday, there will still be a few extensive patches of cloud in higher layers in eastern Austria. However, the sun will shine widely in almost all parts of the country until the evening. Any fog patches in basins and valleys south of the main Alpine ridge will also clear quickly. It will remain lightly windy in many places. Early temperatures are forecast to be between four and 14 degrees, with daily highs rising to between 21 and 28 degrees, with the warmest temperatures in the west.

There will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day on Sunday. Only along the Danube, in the Wald and Weinviertel, and in the south will there be a few flat patches of fog at first. From midday, high clouds in the west will cloud the sunshine. The wind will blow weakly, in the east and moderately from east to south-west. Early morning temperatures: three to eleven degrees, even higher at higher altitudes. Early summer daytime temperatures are forecast at 23 to almost 30 degrees.

Summery weather continues until Tuesday
The unusually warm and often very sunny weather will continue on Monday. Only high cloud fields and Saharan dust may noticeably reduce the sunshine. In the eastern region, a brisk south-easterly wind will be noticeable in some places; otherwise, the wind will be weak to moderate. Early morning temperatures are forecast to be between four and 14 degrees, with daily highs of 24 to almost 30 degrees.

The solid southerly high-altitude current will continue to transport very mild air masses on Tuesday, but also Saharan sand. The slightly cloudy weather will, therefore, be noticeably cloudy. A cold front will then reach the west in the evening hours. The wind will blow moderately to briskly from the southeast to the south. Early temperatures will rise to between seven and 14 degrees. Daytime highs are forecast at 21 to 28 degrees.
