The wind continues to ensure mild temperatures in Austria. Although the experts at Geosphere Austria forecast precipitation in some areas over the coming days, the thermometer will climb to 22 degrees.

It will be cloudy and rainy on Friday from the south of the Alps to southern Burgenland. The Föhn wind will remain constant and ensure mostly sunny and mild conditions north of the main Alpine ridge. In the east, too, it will be quite windy and partly sunny until the evening, with denser clouds only moving through towards the evening. Early temperatures range from six to 14 degrees, with daytime highs of eleven to 21 degrees.

Fog in the morning, then sunny more often

In the west, the Föhn wind will break down on Saturday with a slight disturbance and will mostly remain cloudy. The sun will appear more often towards the east, especially in the Föhn areas of the Most and Industrieviertel. It will also stay cloudy and rainy in the south. In eastern Styria, there will still be fog in the morning, but the sun will appear more often during the day. Persistent brisk southeasterly winds in Lower Austria, Vienna, and northern Burgenland. Early temperatures are between six and 13 degrees, daytime highs are between 14 and 20 degrees, and southerly föhn winds are up to 22 degrees.

Sunday: The day will start in the inner Alpine region with partly persistent fog and high fog patches. On the southern side of the Alps, dense clouds will cloud the sky during the day, accompanied by locally light rain, especially in the East Tyrol region. Apart from rapidly clearing fog patches in Upper Austria and the Danube Valley, the day will be mostly sunny in the east and north of the country. The temperature will climb from four to eleven degrees in the morning to 13 to 21 degrees during the day.

Sunny start to the week

Monday starts with scattered fog patches and high fog in the valleys on the southern side of the Alps, the inner Alpine region, the Vienna Basin, and the Waldviertel. After the fog clears quickly, the first half of the day will be sunny in these areas. In the other regions, the day will start off mostly sunny. From midday, the first high-lying, denser cloud fields of an approaching disturbance will generally move in from the northwest. However, it will remain almost completely sunny in the east of the country in the afternoon. Early temperatures will be between four and twelve degrees, with daytime highs between 13 and 21 degrees.

Tuesday will be cloudy in most regions. There will be persistent fog and high fog patches in the inner Alpine region, the entire Danube Valley, the Waldviertel, and the Vienna Basin. The sun will rarely make an appearance here. From Vorarlberg to the Mühlviertel, dense clouds will gather during the day and bring moderate rainfall, especially in the northern main Alpine ridge area and further south as the day progresses. Early temperatures: five to twelve degrees; daytime highs: ten to 17 degrees. (APA)
