Up to 19 degrees: Autumn will be mild again next week

As the meteorologists from Geosphere Austria forecast on Sunday, we can expect calm and, above all, mild fall weather in the coming week. Although most days start with fog or high fog, this will usually clear quickly and allow the sun to shine. Daytime highs will be in the double digits throughout, with temperatures of up to 19 degrees possible.

Monday will start with fog and high fog again over the lowlands valleys and basins. Away from the fog, it will be quite sunny. As the day progresses, however, the fog patches will dissipate more quickly than recently, and overall the weather will be mainly sunny with a few high cloud fields moving through. In the afternoon, spring clouds may develop over the mountains and short local showers cannot be ruled out. The wind will be light. Early temperatures will reach two to twelve degrees, with daytime highs of 13 to 19 degrees.

Fog patches clearing

Tuesday will start with widespread fog and high mist over the lowlands in the north, east, and southeast, as well as in the inner Alps and the southern basins. It will be sunny away from the fog and in the mountains. As the day progresses, however, the fog patches will gradually clear, and sunny weather with scattered spring clouds will prevail. Local showers are possible in the mountains. The wind will be light. Early temperatures will rise to three to ten degrees, with daytime highs of 13 to 19 degrees depending on the sun.

On Wednesday, the lowlands and basins of the north, east, and southeast will be covered by a few patches of high fog and high fog-like clouds. The upper limit of the high fog-like clouds will be between 800 and 1,500 meters above sea level. From midday, however, there is a chance that the sun will appear in some areas. Sunshine will predominate everywhere else from early in the morning. The wind will be weak, occasionally moderate from the south to northwest. Temperatures will range from one to eleven degrees in the morning and eleven to 18 degrees in the afternoon.

Persistent fog on Thursday

On Thursday, high fog-like clouds will repeatedly cross the northeast and east, clearing only temporarily, most likely in the afternoon. Otherwise, a few patches of low and high fog will persist over the lowlands and valleys, often giving way to sunshine from midday. The fog will continue more in the southeast, where it may remain all day. However, the sun will shine early in the morning in the mountains and generally in the west. The wind will blow weakly, moderately in the east, and from the south to the northwest. Early morning temperatures will range between two and twelve degrees, and afternoon temperatures between eleven and 18 degrees.

Regional fog patches over the basins and valleys will often clear by Friday morning. Otherwise, there will be plenty of sunshine on the program. The wind will be weak, moderate to brisk in the eastern Danube valley, from the southwest to northwest. The lowest temperatures will be zero to ten degrees, and the highest temperatures during the day will be twelve to 19 degrees.
