September 18–21, 2025, at Vienna’s Rathausplatz—almost 40 hours of music, the best of Viennese cuisine, and more
After a successful premiere in May 2024, which attracted around 54,000 visitors to Vienna’s Rathausplatz despite the rain, the Wienliebe Festival will return in September 2025 in a new season, but with the same charm.
For four days—from September 18 to 21 – Rathausplatz will once again be transformed into a stage for joie de vivre, cultural diversity, and Viennese hospitality. Viennese residents and guests from all over the world are invited to discover, taste, and experience the most beautiful sides of the city.
The festival sees itself as a celebration of Vienna for Vienna. It creates an atmosphere that is characterized by conviviality, enjoyment, and comfort. During these days, Rathausplatz will be a meeting place for people of all generations to celebrate together, stroll around, and immerse themselves in what makes Vienna so lovable and livable.
Ludwig: Festival is a “declaration of love to the city”
“The Wienliebe Festival impressively demonstrates how rich and diverse our city is. With its mix of music, cuisine, and crafts, #wienliebe is not just an event but also an attitude towards life and a declaration of love for the city and its people, who achieve so much every day. The festival brings together people who love Vienna and turns our city into a stage for its most beautiful facets for four days,” emphasized Mayor Michael Ludwig.
“Our city’s economy is as diverse as the city itself—one of the great strengths of Vienna as a business location. I am therefore all the more delighted that, following last year’s successful premiere, we can host the Wienliebe Festival again this year. And in doing so, we can showcase and celebrate the many facets of Vienna. Our city is famous for its cuisine as well as its products and services. Vienna’s companies are part of this unique flair, which finds its expression in #wienliebe,” said Walter Ruck, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.
