VIENNA — German author Daniel Faßbender, known for his sharp storytelling and atmospheric crime fiction, will introduce his latest novel “Heaven’s Gate” on May 5, 2026, at 18:30 at the Thalia Bookstore on Landstraße.
Faßbender, who hails from Cologne, brings readers this time deep into the Philippines, where his new criminal thriller unfolds. The book promises a gripping narrative set against the country’s vibrant yet complex social and cultural backdrop — a fresh setting that marks a new chapter in the author’s creative journey.
According to event organizer Klemens Hruska, the evening will not only highlight the novel but also offer readers a chance to meet the author personally. “Everyone is warmly invited to join us for a meet and greet with Daniel Faßbender,” Hruska said, emphasizing the welcoming and interactive nature of the event.
The presentation is expected to draw crime fiction enthusiasts, members of the Filipino community in Vienna, and readers curious about Faßbender’s latest international setting.
The event is open to the public.
