A group of Filipino Marian devotees joined the parish community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Herz Jesu) in Vienna’s 21st District for a special prayer gathering marking the culmination of the month of October, traditionally dedicated to the Holy Rosary.
The gathering brought together Filipino devotees and members of the local parish in a moment of faith, prayer, and unity in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Prayers and Marian hymns were offered in both English and German, reflecting the international character of the parish community and the shared devotion of participants. Through prayers and songs, those present expressed their faith and devotion to Mary, seeking her guidance and intercession.
Parish priest Father Josef Giggenbacher warmly thanked the Filipino group for their presence and active participation in the prayer gathering. He expressed his appreciation for their contribution in making the celebration a meaningful occasion of prayer and fellowship.
The gathering highlighted the important role of Marian devotion in bringing people together across cultures and languages. It also served as a beautiful reminder that faith transcends cultural boundaries, strengthening the bonds of friendship and unity within the Church community.
As the Rosary Month came to a close, the Filipino devotees and the parish community renewed their commitment to prayer, faith, and the values of Christian fellowship, carrying the spirit of the Rosary beyond the month of October.
