Record numbers in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, Paraguay closes borders to unvaccinated people

Sweden, Denmark and Norway have all posted record numbers of new infections. In Sweden, 37,886 new cases were added yesterday.

In Denmark, the record from the previous day was broken right away: In the daily updated values of the health institute SSI, this time 38,759 reported cases were added, including 36,474 new infections and 2,285 new infections.

7-day incidence in Germany reaches record level
The 7-day incidence reported by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has exceeded the threshold of 600 for the first time in Germany. The RKI today reported the value of new CoV infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week at 638.8.

By comparison, the previous day’s figure was 584.4. A week ago, the nationwide incidence was 427.7 (previous month: 280.3). Health offices in Germany reported 133,536 new CoV infections to the RKI within one day.
