Still around 4,000 arrivals per day from Ukraine

The number of people fleeing the Russian war of aggression from Ukraine remains manageable in Austria for the time being. As the Ministry of the Interior announced, around 4,000 people arrive here from the region every day. Very few of them want to stay in the country. Eighty percent travel on to other states.

The target regions are mainly those regions in Europe with large Ukrainian communities. These are, for example, Spain and Italy.

Nevertheless, there is already extensive preparatory work in Austria to provide for refugees from the region or organize help on the ground. The activities are bundled on one of the pages of the Federal Support Agency https://www.bbu.gv.at/.
